Abstract

Interview with Kenneth David Jackson, Director of Undergraduate Studies for Portuguese at Yale University and author of Machado de Assis: A Literary Life (2015), in which he proposes a psychological-philosophical reading of the Brazilian author's novels. Here he talks about Machado de Assis and his views on Brazilian literature and the interest it awakens in the Anglophone world, among other topics.
